Start with one useful workflow—not a shopping list of AI tools.

1. Pick a task you already understand

Choose something recurring and easy to review: an internal outline, a draft recap, or a practice quiz. Write down how you do it today and where the time goes.

2. Set the boundaries

Use fictional or de-identified examples. Keep passwords, financial details, identity documents, and confidential client or student records out of public AI tools. Follow your workplace or course policy.

3. Give the draft a human review

Ask for a specific output and decide in advance what a good result looks like. Verify facts against the original source. An answer that sounds confident is not necessarily correct.

4. Measure the whole task

Count prompting, checking, and rework—not just the time it takes to generate a draft. Keep what helps. Adjust or stop what does not.
